Blouses made to your measurements
Blouses are one of the things off-the-rack sizing handles worst. Shoulders, bust and waist rarely arrive in the same size on the same person, and the usual result is a garment that fits in one or two places and not the others. Made to measure solves that, and a blouse is one of the quicker and less expensive ways to find out whether tailoring is worth it for you.
What we make
Classic shirt blouses, softer draped styles, sleeveless shells, tie-neck, and anything you bring us a picture of. Collar shape, cuff style, button choice, sleeve length and how fitted you want it through the waist are all decided with you.
Choosing cloth
Silk for something that hangs beautifully, cotton for something you will wear and wash constantly, linen if it is going to live in a warm climate. We also have various blended fabrics. We keep shirting and dress fabrics on both floors. More on the cloth here.
Bringing something to copy
If you have a blouse you love that is wearing out, bring it. Copying an existing garment is usually the most reliable way to get exactly what you want, and we will tell you what we can match precisely and what we would suggest changing.
How long it takes
A blouse is quicker than a suit. 2-3 days is comfortable with a fitting. If you are ordering several, or your trip is short, tell us at the start and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
