Shirt cloth at Mister Singh’s
We keep shirting on both floors of the shop, and what is on the shelf changes from week to week. Rather than publish a catalogue that is out of date almost immediately, here is what each of our tiers actually gives you. When you come in you will see everything we have, and you can move between tiers once you have felt the difference.
Standard shirting
Cotton and cotton-blend poplins and twills. Easy to wear, easy to press, and they hold up to being washed often. If you are ordering several shirts for work, this is usually where they come from.
Premium shirting
Pure cottons in finer counts, along with linens and cotton-linen blends. Softer to the hand, better colour depth, and the linens are what most people want for warmer climates or summers rather than for officewear.
Superior shirting
Two-ply and higher-count cottons, sea island and Egyptian cottons, silk, and silk blends. For shirts you want to keep wearing for years rather than replace at the end of the season; and for shirts you may choose to wear for special occasions.
Choosing for the climate you are going home to
Most visitors are buying shirts to wear somewhere considerably cooler than Phuket. That is worth saying out loud when you are choosing, because our team can advise you on options that will be suitable for your intended use.
Coming to see the cloth
The shop is at 104/14 Soi Post Office, just off Thaweewong Road in Patong, open every day from 9:30 am to 9:00 pm. There is no appointment needed to come and look, and no obligation to order.
