Wedding suits, made to measure in Patong
A good deal of what we make is for weddings, both for couples marrying in Phuket and for people flying home to a wedding somewhere else. A suit made to your measurements photographs differently to one bought off a rack, and it is the one garment where that shows in every picture taken all day.
Grooms
Two-piece or three-piece, single or double-breasted, with the details decided with you: lapel shape and width, buttoning, vents, lining, working cuffs, and whether you want a waistcoat that will still get worn afterwards. If you have a picture of what you are imagining, bring it along or send it to us in advance.
Groomsmen and group orders
Matching a group is a different job to making one suit, and it is worth telling us the numbers at the very start. We can make everyone identical, or keep the cloth consistent and let the cut vary to suit each person, which usually looks better in photographs than four men in the same silhouette.
If some of the party are arriving late, we can measure whoever is here and fit the rest on arrival, provided we know the dates in advance.
Choosing fabric for a Phuket wedding
A beach or garden wedding in Phuket and a church wedding at home are two very different situations. For heat, linen and light wool-linen blends, cut with less structure so they move. For a wedding you are flying to, a mid-weight wool that will not crease in a suitcase. Tell us which it is before you choose, because it changes the cut as well as the fabric we would suggest.
How much time to allow
Three to four days with two fittings is comfortable for a suit. For a group, allow a little more, and tell us as early as you can. If your wedding is months away and you are here now, that is ideal.
