Buying clothes can be a struggle if you often find yourself in between clothing sizes.
Even if you do find a brand that offers clothes in your size, it really narrows down your options. And then, you may need something the brand doesn’t actually offer. Of course, there are ways to get around this: a common suggestion is to buy the bigger of the two sizes you’re in between, and then get it altered to fit you better by a tailor.
The benefit of custom tailoring is that anyone can get clothes made to fit their size. Suppose you get measured by a tailor and get a suit made. A couple months later, you may realise you need a new pair of shorts and a dress shirt. All it takes, then, is to find images of the shorts and shirt that you’re after and send them to your tailor. The clothes will then be shipped to your door. If the cost of custom-tailored clothing sounds terrifying, don’t worry. It’s not the same everywhere, and it’s entirely possible to get clothes tailored at affordable prices. Many tailors, including us, work with all sorts of fabrics, including cotton, wool, denim, leather, velvet, etc.
Then, it doesn’t matter if you’re in between clothing sizes – they no longer restrict you. Your clothes are made to fit you. You can get creative with it. Forget what you find online. You can design your own shirt, overcoat, blouse, pajamas, or whatever it is you’re looking for. You’re not only wearing clothes that fit better now, but you’re also better able to express your individuality, as you’re no longer restricted to what’s available to you off-the-peg.
You won’t have to worry about trying to wear clothes that are too big, looking for shirts between medium and large (or other such sizes), making pants fit tighter, etc. If you’ve ever thought ‘no shirts fit me’, then getting clothes custom-tailored is really a no-brainer.
