If you have a suit you particularly like, have you considered getting it copied (i.e. remade)?
This is particularly helpful if your suit is suffering from a lot of wear. You can simply get it copied to look the same (or very similar) – from a similar material, with similar buttons, and the same fit. Have it copied by a tailor in Thailand and it doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
If you’ve ever visited a major city in Thailand, you’ll probably have noticed that there are a significant number of custom tailors in the central areas. Granted, not all of these tailors are experienced, but others – including Mister Singh’s – have decades of experience in producing high-quality clothing for ladies and gents.
We have a large selection of fabrics, and will aim to use a similar fabric and colour as your existing suit. If this is not possible, we will let you know if there are other, slightly different options available to you. Plus, if there are any changes you’d like to make, we can do those as well – e.g. perhaps the suit’s become a little tight fitting because you’ve gained a few pounds over the years, then we can custom make your new suit to be a little looser where appropriate – perhaps based on another article of clothing that currently fits you well.
Plus, you don’t even have to physically visit Thailand to have your suit copied. You can simply send it over to our Bangkok tailor shop and we’ll work from there.
